Birthday Party, Puppet Show, and Show and Tell!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day holiday! I know I did - I FOUND A WEDDING DRESS! I am so excited. Now back to our school week!

I haven't taken nearly as many pictures this week but I do have a special treat- videos! I've been so caught up in teaching that I haven't been able to take many pictures. I'll be more aware of photo taking opportunities to provide you with more pictures of your little ones. Let's get started!

A little girl in Ms. Kim's class had a birthday party and invited the whole school. We got to enjoy cake and take pictures with our special visitor - Hello Kitty!

HELLO KITTY IS HERE!!

We are learning about fall this week in science. We created Fall Art using fallen leaves and sticks to make autumn trees:

Every day, each child learns a new word. They pick out a word they want to know, we sound it out, write it on a card, they copy it below, and then draw a picture of it on the back. We really enjoy learning our new words!

More math with counting bears. We can now recognize the letter word one!

We had dance for the first time this year! Check out our ballerina poses:

(I was in a meeting when the boys went to gymnastics so I wasn't able to get their pictures =(. )

While the girls were in dance, the boys and Ella were able to create family trees in the library.

While outside, we have found lots of critters. See some of our finds:

I FINALLY got some pictures of us during pioneer time. This was a free play- they were able to act out/draw any thing they wanted as a pioneer:

Milking cows (back corner) and gathering water from the river (blue blanket).

Putting wood (blocks) in the stove (bucket) to cook our meals.

A cow, horse, house, father, and a tree (for wood).

At library, we are learning about families. We created puppets of ourselves and someone special to put on a puppet show!

Sadly, my internet is very spotty and will not upload any of the videos I have taken during show and tell and the puppet show. I will try to upload these tomorrow! Please remember to finish your All About Me papers. We only have a few left until we have a finished classroom scrapbook! =)
